In July 2020, my 13 year old son Finn and I were due to be cycling from Bristol to Bordeaux, France. This is in aid of PROPS, a charity which supports adults with learning disabilities achieve their full potential.

PROPS do a terrific job to help people, who are otherwise heavily dependent on ageing parents and carers, to develop confidence and skills to lead independent lives.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the ride cannot go ahead. As this is the biggest fundraiser for PROPS, the charity cannot sustain its work without the generous donations of those supporting the ride. And so we are doing the ride virtually, riding the distance in our basement, on the roads, and as needed to make the distance.
