Collaboration brewing

Since the beginning of 2024,  Tapestry by Props Trainees have been developing their craft beer brewing skills under the guidance of Head Brewer, Tom, at Cotham Hill’s Brewhouse & Kitchen.

The team have assisted with brewing the core range of Brewhouse beers, and in February had the chance to make their mark in a collaborative brew.

Blueberry Muffin Pale Ale is a 4.5% Pale, with sweet blueberry and vanilla notes, using medium pale, wheat and a huge amount of oat in the malt. The beer is hopped with Belma and then dry hopped with Mosaic to bring in an additional burst of fruit and citrus.

Back at Props HQ Trainees baked their very own blueberry muffins, to pair alongside the beer at the beer launch event on Friday 15 March!

Trainees came up with their own ‘muffin man’ inspired characters, who feature on the artwork for the keg badge.

It’s always a greatly appreciated experience for staff and Trainees to take part in these collaborative projects, and we’d like to thank Brewhouse & Kitchen, Tom and Sarah for their kind hospitality and ongoing advice!

Blueberry Muffin Pale Ale will be selling on our revamped Taproom bar in Spring 2024…

Tapestry by Props returns to our Totterdown taproom!

Save the date March 29th 2024!

After a long and chilly winter, we are ready to reopen our doors in our main brewery & taproom.

We’ll be opening with 2 Tapestry collaboration beers on tap, and a great range of guest beers from in and around Bristol.

We’ve been working hard over the last few weeks to improve the space, with fresh licks of paint here, and new pieces of artwork there.

We are overjoyed to be able to showcase some of the amazing Trainee made prints and products, which you may have seen already during our time at Crafted by Props in Fishponds.

Equally exciting is that we have had a full cellar revamp, electrical improvements to allow for cosier lighting, and a change to our bar, to accommodate larger crowds just a bit better.

If you haven’t visited our Taproom before, you can find us at Unit B, Totterdown Bridge Estate, Albert Road, BS2 0XH

The books are back open for private functions, venue hire and events, so please do contact cal@propsbristol.co.uk if you are interested in hiring out space or had any questions regarding Tapestry by Props and what we do.

Thank you everyone for your continued support, and for being alongside us as we grow and develop.
