Join our team as a Minibus Driver at Props. You’ll play a crucial role in our mission by ensuring safe transportation for our Trainees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate designated minibus routes, picking up and dropping off Props Trainees at specified locations and the Centre.
- Provide assistance to Trainees boarding and exiting the bus, including wheelchair loading and unloading.
- Uphold a high standard of person-centered service, prioritizing Trainee welfare in all interactions.
- Handle any emergencies that may arise during transportation.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure the good condition of the vehicle, including regular inspections and communication with the Transport Manager regarding any necessary maintenance.
- Adhere to all Props policies, including safeguarding and health & safety guidelines for drivers.
- Follow Props transport risk assessment guidelines and communicate directly with parents/carers when needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years holding a full driving license and over 21 years old (for insurance purposes).
- Preferable experience with 3.5t vehicles.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- All staff will undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide two references before commencing work.
Work patterns:
- £10.90 per hour
- Morning shift: 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM; Afternoon shift: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a maximum of 20 hours per week (possibility to increase hours through support work opportunities within Props).
- Flexibility in shift scheduling available, including mornings, afternoons, or a combination, tailored to your preference.
